Dave Grohl's Father, James Harper Grohl, Dies Aged 76

Dave Grohl's father, James Harper Grohl, has died at the age of 76.

The Foo Fighters frontman announced the news on social media, saying that his father had passed away peacefully on Monday.

In a heartfelt post, Grohl wrote: "My dear father, James Harper Grohl, passed away peacefully this morning. He was 76 years old. I am so grateful for the life we shared together."

Grohl's father was a well-known journalist and author. He worked as a reporter for the Associated Press and later became a professor of journalism at Western Kentucky University.

In addition to his son, Grohl is survived by his wife, Virginia, and his other son, David.

The Foo Fighters have postponed their upcoming tour dates in light of Grohl's father's death.
